The Sales & Systems Manager will be a part of a highly specialized team of sales professionals at Eurotherm responsible for the development and closing of all new business in their respective region.

This role will be responsible developing a portfolio of existing clients as well as actively identifying and pursuing strategic prospects and clients as an ongoing business development activity for the growth of the UK business.

The Sales & Systems Manager directs all sales relationship management, business development, and sales activities, managing a team of Area Sales Engineers to develop and grow the Northern Region.

This role is accountable maintaining and growing revenue at appropriate margin levels across all services and for all clients in their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain the sales relationship with each client/prospect in their portfolio at every level from the (CEO) executive suite to departmental line managers.

Drive new business through the identification, development, negotiation

Closure of new agreements with prospects and clients

Participate in the subsequent maintenance of client relationships.

Target potential leads, qualify them, and lead the Eurotherm pursuit team in crafting and positioning the deal.

Leverage industry, financial and business knowledge to create demand and persuade through the development and presentation of compelling purchasing rationales (these agreements will range in scale from small and medium sized DCS solutions through to engineering services and multi-year support agreements).

Additional responsibilities include the smooth transition of new business from sales to delivery, ensuring compliance with Eurotherm sales processes and new business approval requirements, coordinating the relationship between key client personnel and Eurotherm senior executives.

Share industry, deal, and sales best-practice knowledge with the Eurotherm sales community and mentor and coach others in Sales and Delivery streams.

Other job essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Meet allocated Sales and Margin targets for the Sales region
Develop the Area Sales Engineers
Aim to exceed the Key Metrics as detailed below
Identify, Qualify and Manage new and existing opportunities
Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of opportunities
Identify prospects and create entry strategies for each sales engineers' geographical region
Utilize business and financial knowledge to create value propositions
Execute competitive sales tactics to win business
Lead or participate in contract negotiations
Use Eurotherm sales automation and CRM tools effectively
Develop and deliver proposals in conjunction with the proposals function

Key Metrics
Orders - to target and growth on previous year
Margin - to target and previous year
Growth of size, value and conversion of Sales Funnel
Compliance to our Sales governance model
Team and individual development

Experience and Qualifications
10-15 years of overall experience with a good mix of technical experience in electronics, process control, automation and sales management having worked with industry clients of Heat treatment and life sciences, oil & gas, Chemical, F&B

Formal technical qualifications in an electrical/electronic or software related discipline; a HNC/HTEC minimum and ideally to graduate level

The role will be based in Manchester, Liverpool ideally or Birmingham upwards.
