Veris Industries, LLC seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Tualatin, Oregon): S/he plans, directs, and coordinates work activities necessary for printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications for medium-to-high volume manufacturing. S/he provides a safe environment for all manufacturing/industrial employees. S/he is accountable for manufacturing activities related to problem analysis, process improvement, design, layout, methods, and trouble shooting in support of equipment and processes. Supervises 7 Subordinates [Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Technician, Test\Automation Engineer, Facilities\Security Coordinator, Manufacturing Technician, Manufacturing Technician, and Manufacturing Engineer]. This position requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related and two years of work experience in quality engineering for medium-to-high volume manufacturing of industrial products, OR, in the alternative a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related and five years of work experience in quality engineering for medium-to-high volume manufacturing of industrial products. Also must have 2 years of work experience in a lean manufacturing industry with: implementing ISO 9001 quality auditing; executing Project Management Process (PMP) and lifecycle for new product development activities; implementing 5 Why's, Just-in Time, Kanban, Poka Yoke, waste reduction, 5S, value stream mapping, takt time calculation, and other lean tools; utilizing problem solving tools and techniques including 8D, DMAIC, and Root Cause Analysis; utilizing value stream mapping, Continuous Flow, Kaizen Events, Visual Workplace, and 5S; and executing six sigma projects.
