We are seeking Content Marketing Specialist to create market buzz by positioning Schneider Electric as a thought leader in North America. The content marketing specialist is the creative visionary responsible for working with the marketing segment program managers on content strategy, development, management and measurement. The content marketing specialist is accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, sales and customer retention via inbound/outbound branding and demand generation campaigns.
Through a better understanding the brand story and what content is desired and needed by our audiences we expect to drive greater brand awareness, demand generation, sales enablement and acceleration of digital efforts.
a. Collaborate with marketing program managers to define the content marketing strategy, and create the editorial calendar across segments.
b. Create content maps to support the business strategy & associated marketing programs.
c. Assessment of existing content across all segments to define the balance between content creation and curation.
d. Contribute to or host editorial board meetings/reviews with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination between divisions and content sources.
2. Content Development
a. Project Management: Collaborate with key functions including subject matter experts, in-house and external agency staff such as designers, writers, project managers, etc. to produce relevant content across all marketing channels that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
b. Editorial duties may include:
i. Editorial governance for brand style, voice, tone, imagery, and themes.
ii. Editing, proofreading and improving content written by subject matter experts
iii. Content optimization for search engine marketing
3. Content Publishing and Distribution
a. Asset management of content as needed including part numbers, tagging content for content management systems and associated alt-tags for web.
b. Collaborate with key functions to ensure the proper publishing, distribution and amplification of content through various marketing channels such as internal communications, web, email, blog, social media, events, paid media, and sales channels.
4. Content Measurement
a. Reporting on measurements and key performance indicators for content ROI, consumption and usage.
b. Determine which methods work and why.
c. Continuous improvement and strategy adjustment
This position reports to the Sr. Marketing Communications and Thought Leadership Manager within the North America Marketing organization.
The Job might be for you if:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications required or equivalent working experience.
- 2-5 years of marketing experience with majority of experience centered around creating content for both online and off-line audiences. Mobile and video a plus.
- Ability to manage budgets for content creation.
- Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
- Experience developing and pitching conceptual ideas.
- Experience working with style guides and editorial standards.
- Demonstrated experience to measure content performance and adjust accordingly.
- Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills.
- Project management skills and understanding how to manage priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
- An out of the-box, creative solutions thinker and implementer.
