This position supports the manufacturing and/or warehouse & materials processes through continual improvements & optimization. Use the different lean manufacturing techniques to make improvements and improve efficiencies, safety & quality.

What do you get to do in this position?

  • Apply classroom theory to real world applications
  • Plan and design production, manufacturing and material handling improvement plans
  • Implementation of Lean Manufacturing
  • Lead and manage Kaizen events
  • Lead and manage 6-sigma projects
  • Implementation of cross organizational projects which effect the entire process flow
  • Work independently while partnering with the onsite manufacturing engineers
  • Work in a fast-paced, fun, and inclusive environment while gaining exposure and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • This is a 40-hour per week, 12-week summer internship




Qualifications
Do you have these key experiences and qualifications?
  • Completed your sophomore or junior year in college
  • Enrollment in an Engineering program: Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical
  • The ability to influence and convince yet maintain an open mind to other ideas and approaches
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to accept and incorporate constructive criticism
