About the Job

Main responsibilities:
· Utilise the value propositions for the Pro and DIY Distribution channels to develop powerful brand messaging, brand positioning and brand awareness
· Assist with developing of brand awareness within the electrician and residential consumer market
· Plan and coordinate all promotional events at Distributors (e.g. supplier days, electrician training events, roadshows, breakfast runs etc.) including on-site inspections and project manging events.
· Assist in the planning of residential product launch events
· Take ownership for the signage, counter displays and product displays at all Pro and DIY Distributors and ensure a high level of uniformity throughout the market
· Evaluate and improve the presentation of the brand and products on Distributor websites
· Arrange the internal annual sales conference and customer incentive trips
· Maintain and broaden social networking to the benefit of the organization
· Develop, package and promote go-to-market sales campaigns
· Engage with service providers, venues and media contacts for the above materials to ensure on-time delivery
· Report on expenses and return on marketing spend
· Develop media relations program and build relationships with key journalists within the electrician market
· In general, to increase the status of the brand to top-of-mind within the Distribution channel


· 5 years' experience in B2B and B2C (preferable in the South African market)
· Knowledge of the Electrical Distribution Market (Pro and DIY Distribution) (customers and competitors)
· Knowledge of the Electrician Market
· Has already performed animation of the Distributor Channel (3-5 years)
· Has already been involved in Social Media Campaigns and is active on Social Media
· Has already developed Customer Campaigns
· Has already developed Product Launch Campaigns
· Education: Minimum Grade 12
· Driver's Licence

Geographic scope:
· Country wide (South Africa)

Reporting line:
· Reports directly to the Building BU Distribution Channel Sales Manager who reports to the Building BU Vice President

· Works very closely with the Electricians Programme Manager to drive animation of the Electrician community via the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) in South Africa
· Works closely with Digital Customer Experience teams
· Works closely with all the relevant Offer Marketing Managers - particularly the Home + Distribution Offer Managers
· Works closely with the Distribution Channel Sales Manager and Account Managers to animate Pro Distributors
· Works closely with the DIY Key Account Manager, strategic DIY Distributors and DIY Chains
· Works closely with the Channel Marketing Manager for Distributors
