The Physician Informatics Analyst III is primarily responsible for supporting the Medical Staff and technologies they utilize. This person is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating systems and solutions based on physician user needs. This person is responsible for working with physician users to define current state workflows and develop future state workflows that meet physician needs and that are technically relevant. In addition, this person is responsible for documentation of user incidents and requests, progress against fulfilling incidents and requests, user and technical requirements, and system design. This person relies on extensive experience and judgment with a wide degree of latitude in carrying out duties including complicated tasks, leading small projects, and providing guidance for others. Responsible for delivering high level of customer service based on user needs in a manner that is aligned with physician workflow and priorities. Works with minimal supervision and leads and provides guidance for others. The Physician Informatics Analyst III is knowledgeable of and adheres to commonly used Information Technology concepts, practices, and procedures including relational databases, client server concepts, and SQL syntax. The Physician Informatics Analyst III serves as a reference resource for other analysts in the team. This position requires flexibility of hours.

Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Health Administration, Informatics, Nursing or other healthcare program, strongly preferred

A minimum of five years experience in Information Technology, required.
A minimum of five years experience in application design, configuration, and/or programming, required.
A minimum of five years experience with Cerner Millennium dynamic documentation, MPages, Provider Workflow configuration, Cerner Core build, relational database queries (CCL), PowerOrders application support, required.
Three years of Project Management experience, preferred.
Five years experience clinical healthcare operations, preferred.

Active RN or other physician license, strongly preferred.
ITIL v3 Foundations within 6 months of hire, strongly preferred.
MTA, MCSA, MCSE, or MCDBA certifications, preferred.

Application expertise by achieving proficiency in five Cerner Millennium solutions and familiarity in seven or more applications that are outside of the core EHR.
Physician acumen, which encompasses having solid understanding of the users environment, functionality requirements, and workflows, along with how they interact in the broader healthcare operational environment. Applies this knowledge to daily activities, ensuring that service and technology provided supports the physician environment. Actively provides guidance for peers.
Critical thinking, which encompasses objective analysis, systematic evaluation of the problem, followed by forming development of solutions to solve the physician problems. Utilizing good judgment, makes recommendations and appropriately prioritizes work. Actively provides guidance for peers.
Effective meeting management for large sized, interdisciplinary groups, including development of action oriented agendas, meeting facilitation, documentation of meeting outcomes, and tracking of action items. Utilizes conflict management techniques to support optimal outcomes.
Ability to retain knowledge gained in formal training and advance that knowledge through research, troubleshooting, and industry networking. Actively provides training and orientation for peers as it relates to application knowledge, Information Technology standards, and tools.
Technical expertise and acumen by regularly utilizing Information Technology concepts, practices and procedures such as use of command prompts, pinging of IP addresses, debugging, etc. with demonstrated ability to utilize tools to effectively and efficiently resolve technology issues. Utilizes expertise to develop solutions and programs to automate processes. Actively provides guidance and training for peers.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and SQL with an ability to independently research and continue to learn and advance knowledge of these applications. Demonstrates and ability to effectively and efficiently utilize these tools to minimize manual work effort. Actively provides guidance and training for peers.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills along with the ability to work with a diverse population.
Commitment to providing exceptional IT Service Delivery by understanding user needs, development of solutions, and adherence to IT service management practices standards. Serves as a role model, providing guidance for peers and advocate for meeting and exceeding service level goals.
