Collaborate with experienced professionals, mentors, and sales leaders. Build relationships within a close knit community of peers involved in the development program to expand your network. Development program is curriculum based and structured. This position is a full-time flex schedule with our site Hours of Operation: Monday through Sunday 7 AM – 10 PM local time. We require our employees to be flexible to work any shift, any day of the week during our hours of operation. The flex schedule typically includes a 32 hour work week Mon-Sat during the months of Jan-Sept and 40 hours + overtime Mon-Sun during our sales season of Oct-Dec. Primary Responsibilities: Participate in an 18 month Development Program that will provide a structured curriculum and on- the-job sessions that will expose you to broad skills, tools and functional departments within the Sales & Distribution Organization. Approximately 25% of the time will be dedicated to structured learning that will afford you the opportunity to: Gain industry knowledge. Enhance communication and presentation skills. Review reporting practices and utilize analytical skills. Learn and understand different work styles. Formalize individual development plans. Learn and live our corporate culture and values. Access a very comprehensive repository of online self-development tools and resources.Drive sales/enrollments through effective handling of all telephone inquiries from prospects & members interested in UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions, with the intent of enrolling consumers in optimal plan(s)/product(s). Convert inbound calls to sales. Manage outbound calls and special campaign initiatives for assigned region. Conduct needs analysis across diverse consumer population. Sell across multiple product set. Generate leads to optimal sales channelAll new hires will be required to successfully complete the UHC Portfolio Agent New Hire training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material.Within 14 days, new hire must obtain all appropriate state insurance licenses (completed during training). If you provide verification you hold the appropriate state licenses 14 days prior to your start date, and upon hire you successfully complete our UHC Portfolio Agent New Hire training class, you may be eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus.
