Senior Manager of CIS (Clinical Information Systems)

About the Job

The Sr. Manager of CIS for New West Physicians is responsible for leading the clinical teams that that support the individual clinical application suite of products including the EMR, Radiology System, Cardiology System, Lab application and Medical Management Applications.  This role will collaborate closely with the Director of Application as well as the other IT leaders to deliver an exceptional user experience, provide and apply best practices and create/optimize the processes that ensure the success of the overall organization.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage CIS across the region within the shared services delivery model as it relates to day to day operational support as well as project delivery
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal IT teams (Operations, Infrastructure, Network, Desktop, Training etc.) to deliver high availability, high performance and streamlined workflows to our clinical and global risk applications
  • Understands effective communication across all levels of the organization (both upward and downward) with the appropriate message, the right tone and the appropriate level of impact
  • Assist in maintaining vendor partner relationships and reviewing opportunities to gain efficiencies both operationally and financially
  • Develop region and care delivery organization strategies for integrating new applications and increasing the sharing of clinical information across the organization
  • Hold regional accountability and oversight of application security reporting, and evidence gathering including deficiency remediation for the region
  • Perform regulatory, operational and productivity reporting as needed
  • Partner with Director of IT Applications to maintain and report on regional budgets, forecasts and guidelines for both standard operations as well as projects.
  • Translates initiatives into actions through a thoughtful, organized and well-planned approach.    Establishes measurement criteria and systems to track daily processes, implementation of new initiatives and value creation.
  • Job requires hours that may exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during times of peak activity or problem resolution.
