In this LVN role, you will provide skilled nursing services and assists with the coordination of home health care services for assigned patients.  Ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care services in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies.

 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs all duties and procedures within the scope of a Licensed Vocational Nurse (procedures, injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, etc)
  • Coordinates healthcare screening results as directed by providers, company standards, and policies
  • Performs complete assessment of the patient's condition during every home health patient encounter
  • Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains established quality control standards
  • Assists the physician and/or home health care RNs in performing specialized procedures following the physician’s plan of care to include assessments, medication administration, wound care, therapeutic treatments, and skilled teaching as ordered and indicated
  • Prepares equipment and material for patient treatments, observing aseptic techniques as required
  • Assists patients in learning appropriate self-care techniques
  • Recognizes and reports life-threatening situations and responds appropriately
  • Reports changes in the patient's condition to the CTM on a daily basis
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical, medical, and regulatory instruction and deal with numerous contemporaneous issues and problems involving delivery of patient care

Market travel up to 75% in either the south or north Austin.

 

The pace is fast and you’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities. You may be required to work in multiple locations, so scheduling flexibility is essential. You must also be able to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Guaranteed 40 hour work week, full benefits within 30 days, PTO, bonus potential, annual reviews, 57.5 cents per mile, this is an hourly role which pays you for your travel and notes time!

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • 1+ years related experience and/or training in home health care or related environment
  • Current licensure as a Vocational Nurse by the Board of Licensed Vocational Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or compact license
  • Evidence of independent nursing practice in delivering nursing care
  • Must be able to read and write in English and effectively follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease
  • Maintains certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support Course C
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and equipment
